This morning I had my first dance with Nicole. We joined the dancing that takes place each morning just to the right of our hotel. The dancing starts promptly at 7 AM and ends at about 7:30 – 7:45. While dancing with the rest of the people, several came up to us to give us a thumbs up, shake Nicole’s hand, say "hello" and of course, check out how well she was covered.
Apparently I must have done well in the covering up department, no changes made by the Clothing Police.
Kelly also videotaped the dance (2 songs) Nicole and I had.
It was really cool. Dancing with these fine people first thing in the morning was quite an experience. Its not every day you get to dance in public while in China.
The tour today was to a local park but Kelly and I opted to stay at the hotel and rest. We both still have a cold and after last night’s lack of sleep, figured this was one tour we could pass on.
The smog here definitely does nothing more than aggravate our colds. You might be able to tell from the below photo just how bad the smog is. The smog is really horrible here and we are looking forward to when we leave next Tuesday to go to Guangzhou. All we are waiting for is Nicole’s adoption registration and notary paperwork which we need in order to get her visa from the U.S. Embassy in Guangzhou.
So it’s not like were hanging out in a tourist part of China, far from it.
